A business of any size or even consumers should value their data backup and recovery. These processes should never be taken for granted, as they can largely effect you or your data. Whether you are a business that are working on files everyday or a consumer with pictures and financial documents, your data is always at risk. If you accidentally delete something, get a virus or even hard drive goes bad, you need to be able to restore you data back.
This answer is different for everybody. We typically recommend every 12 hours or 24 hours depending on your rate of data change. Backups should not be a replacement for disaster recovery. You do want to have backups though as a loss of data could lead to customer complaints or lawsuits. We are always making sure our software is up to date, working efficiently and backed up into a safe place.
As stated before you must have a plan. When that one employee accidentally deletes your financial records from the past year, you need to be ready to get it back. At Cloud Cat Services we ensure that the restoration is as smooth as can be. The time for restore all depends on your internet connection as our backups are in the cloud.
We believe anyone can use disaster recovery. This all depends on the RPO and RTOs your company requires. Most companies can get away with a cheaper backup solution rather than a disaster recovery plan, but if you require it we have it. Disaster recovery is near instant as we would bring your data online in a cloud until we can replicate it back down to you.
Our most common disaster recovery programs are Veeam and Zerto. Veeam is a little slower than Zerto, but more cost efficient. While Zerto is a lot faster with a higher cost. We would balance your requirements vs cost to get the right choice for you.
